Visual impact
We have been working sensitively and in collaboration with local communities, and our workforce live and work in the areas where we operate, so we understand concerns around visual impact.
It takes between 50 and 100 days to drill an average well, during which a rig will be visible to passers-by. After this, the rig is taken down from the site, the wells are placed in production mode and low-profile gas processing equipment is installed. At this point, the site typically looks like an electricity sub-station. The productivity of the well will determine how long it is operational for, after which all infrastructure is removed and it is fully restored to its previous land use.
